WHICH COURSE IS BEST FOR ME

“I had a go at the wakeboarding on the zip wire. It was great fun, highly recommend. The girl running the class was very patient and knowledgeable and to my surprise I managed to get up. Exciting and fun will defiantly do again.”

Ros Schaffa

“A big thank you: First Class sailing instruction from Ash. My daughter has spoken about her sailing experience all day today at home and school. Fun, inspirational, and a great place to spend as a family. Highly recommend.”

    FAQ’s

If you are booking more than one child on to one of the courses or activity weeks you will receive a 10% discount for the second and any further children. This is also applicable when the early booking discount is running! If you are unable to get the discount to apply when booking online please give us a call. If you are booking more than 4 children again give us a call.

Yes they love it. At Lagoon Watersports we have shorter paddles for little people and as Hove Lagoon is only waist deep it is very easy for them to enjoy it.

We have taken all reasonable steps to provide your child with the level of care and assurances of safety appropriate to the activities they will undertake. However, you should be aware that certain inherent risks remain which are integral to the activity and which cannot be eliminated without destroying their unique character. Such risks can lead to feelings of discomfort, fear and apprehension and in some very rare cases, injury.

The kids courses which run during the school holidays start with a short parent briefing. Please take the time to attend this briefing as it will explain how the course works and other information we feel you should know.

We get a lot of lost property and it can be very difficult to identify items, particularly when wet.

    • Please encourage your children to take everything home at the end of their session.
    • Please name your children’s clothing
    • If you leave something behind contact us as soon as possible, ideally the same day.

We frequently take photos and videos of activity sessions involving both adults and under 16’s. These may be used in our brochures, social media and other promotional material.

If you do not want photos taken of your child please let us know.

We take the safety of all our customers very seriously and in particular children. All the staff are DBS checked, they are all qualified by the NGB of their sport so this will be the RYA, BWSW and BSUPA. Many of them are qualified with all of the above. To become an instructor they all have to have a current First Aid Certificate. Both the Brighton Marina and Hove Lagoon sites are inspected in regard to their equipment and also their operating procedures and have to reach very high standards.

At Lagoon Watersports we like to encourage the children to start when they are young so we have some very small sails designed specifically for little people. They are very light so they start with those and as their strength builds and their skills develop they can move to the larger ones.
