BSA windsurf race July 3 and 4

We will be hosting the BSA racing this weekend and it looks windy. Competitors please see info below on parking and camping as there are some new restrictions.

We have some new restrictions on parking due to policy changes within the council. None of this has be introduced by us so please bear with us. It is really important competitors and organisors stick to these rules or we will not be able to host any events in the future.

No overnight camping - except 3 UKWA vehicles for security (The Info on the UKWA web site about is is out of date)
No Parking on the promenade - except 1 event organisors vehicle

Where can you park ? The South west corner of the Lagoon from 8am -7pm only - see map below

How do we get there ? Our post code is BN3 4LX

Access to lagoon for Large vehicles : can access the Lagoon from point marked A. Vehicles are restricted in their movements from 8am - 10am and 6pm - 7pm. ( There is some flexiblity in the leaving time based on the wind , but the council want every one to arrive and leave in a short space of time) PLEASE DRIVE VERY SLOWLY ROUND THE LAGOON - FOLLOW THE PATH ON THE NORTH SIDE UNTIL YOU REACH THE PARKING AREA.

Access to lagoon for Cars and smaller vehicles : Can access the Lagoon as large vehicles or you may prefer to use the access in the South west corner of the Lagoon. The advantage of this is your vehicle movements are far less restricted in the day. The down side is the entrance is quite tight in say a VW van and you NEED to be careful driving in and out.

Lagoon Kids Onboard sailing festival 2010: Onboard kids beat the gales and have a great regatta on Hove Lagoon.
Adults learn to sail at Hove Lagoon for just £20: A group of 24 adults spent the last 5 weeks at Hove Lagoon learning to sail and completing their RYA L1 Sailing qualification in partnership with the Active and Healthy Workplace Initiative.
Club members and staff have been making the most of the the wind: Windsurfers at the club have been getting out on the water in the recent strong winds. See a few pictures below of the action.

Paddle Round The Pier: Paddle Round The Pier was once again a huge success raising over £36,000 for charity. The event saw over 40,000 visitirs which is amazing, and it was great to be part of it again.
Kids fun sailing regatta at Hove Lagoon this Saturday: Hove Lagoon Will be host to the areas Onboard Sailing Regatta this Saturday 17th JULY. We have got an afternoon of fun planned for all the kids using the Laser BUGs
Lagoon Watersports Raises £400 for Windsurf For Cancer Research!: Lagoon Watersports hosted a huge Windsurf Party on Saturday night in aid of W4CR! The legendary Lagoon windsurf parties have gone from strength to strength in the past couple of years with the 'in-house band' Lagoon 5 now known as Twig And The Giggleberries heading up the live music on the night!
