Bit about me...
Windsurfing is my thing,in particular, wave riding. Knees getting a bit old for too much jumping so my passion is for some down the line wave ride.

I now live in West Cornwall, trying to combine running the admin and planning side of the Lagoon with sneaking off for a sail or a surf. When not staring at a computer screen or sailing I can be found Thai boxing.

Bit About Me

I have been with Lagoon Watersports since 1993. I am now living in the centre of Barcelona, establishing windsurfing and yachting in Spain with Lagoon Espana. When I am not fighting the Spanish bureaucracy and Catalan lingo, I can be found by the pool or beach soaking up the sun surrounded by topless women!

Mark Saul - Lagoon Watersports Hove Lagoon Manager

I have a dual role at the Lagoon. I am manager of the Hove Lagoon centre, but I am also the Onboard youth sailing development officer for the Royal Yachting Association. with one hand I make sure everything is running smoothly at the Lagoon and with the other I liase with schools, community groups, sailing clubs and other watersports centres to get more kids out on the water.

Helan Trehane - Duty Manager

Some of you might find my face familiar and that would be because I worked at the Lagoon in summer 2007.  Since then I have been managing a windsurf centre in Egypt, enjoying amazing windsurfing conditions, as well as experiencing live in an Arab country!

 I have returned to the Lagoon because it’s a fun place to work, everyone is friendly, I like living Brighton and I heard it’s going to be a hot summer!

 My qualifications are Windsurf Planing Instructor and Sailing Senior Instructor and I’m always happy to answer any questions you have.

In my free time I love running or walking beside the sea, eating coffee and cake in cafes, and of course windsurfing.  Despite working in a freestyle paradise I’m just no good at it, instead I’m into jumping and learning to wave ride.

Now in my second year at the Lagoon and I am Assistant manager at the Marina. I am a senior Instructor and chief board repair man(please don´t keep him too busy with this members!!)

I cut my teeth windsurfing at Hove Lagoon age 8 with a group of friends, once I caught the watersports bug I have made it my life, I settled with windsurfing and skiff sailing as my sports of choice but also enjoy anything else on or in the water. I am also a keen snowboarder and as I write this, have just come back from an awesome trip to the Italian Alps. 

After having worked in watersports for over four years I am very happy to get back to my roots, especially as they are at a centre such as Lagoon Watersports!

Why at the lagoon? cant keep away from Brighton and challenging conditions of the sea!
What i do when not at work?   sleep, collect stamps, spot trains, write letters to the council! oh yeah when its cold i snowboard.
