Learning to sail a keel boat on the sea from Brighton Marina with a private lesson and a qualified RYA instructor can offer you an intensive way of learning how to sail or master new skills to enhance your sailing ability.Private lessons offer an intensive way of learning and improving upon your skills. The 7.5m Delphia Keelboats are not suitable for one to one training so we suggest a minimum of two persons. Persons on the boat can be at different levels of experience, or you can bring a friend to enjoy the sail.Private lessons are a great flexible way of learning how to sail as we can work around your schedule and you can book times/dates that suit you – to achieve your desired level. Please contact us if you would like to schedule a private lesson.
Private sailing lessons are run by highly experienced and friendly RYA instructors with all specialised equipment is provided. Classes are suitable for all abilities from complete beginners to advanced. On our sailing courses we use our our Delphia 24 keelboats: This is a larger, more stable boat with a fixed keel which stops the boat from capsizing. Keel boats are a step up in size from dinghies, more like a small manageable yacht but not as big as a cruising yacht. They can bridge the gap between dinghies and cruisers, offering many benefits of both, to the adult beginner.

My friends and I went down to the Brighton Marina Watersports a few times to learn how to sail on keelboats. Our instructors were very helpful, very friendly and relaxed. I definitely recommend them

Thanks so much for organising our sailing lesson yesterday. We had such a fun time, and such amazing weather too. Tom ( the instructor) was brilliant. My son, Angus is a sailing convert, so we’ll definitely come out again in the summer.

I can't believe how much hands on sailing there was that sounds a bit daft but I've learnt so much and am thrilled...It was the first thing I have done that has stretched me for literally years and I'm definitely coming back for more.
