Watersports Club night Harvey Dawkins2018-02-09T11:51:29+00:00 Lagoon beach clubs first Thursday evening club night was a great success. The evening was a combination of watersports, socialising and feasting. The theme of the first night was to dust off the cob webs. On the water we had SUPing out on the sea lead by Lucy, whilst on the cable wakeboarders where enjoying the new second System 2.0 wakeboard cable and the new sliders. Next week the windsurfers get to join in as well with a clinic aimed at novice windsurfers. The idea of the Lagoon Beach Club Thursday night club nights is to get a group of watersports enthusiasts of all abilities and of different sports out on the water having fun, learning new stuff and pushing their abilities a bit. Just as important as the on water action is the social aspect of meeting like minded people , relaxing and enjoying some good and drinks at the ION chill out area at Lagoon cafe, this week it was pizza night which went down well. How do I get involved ? You don’t have to be a club member , and people are welcome to come and watch and chill out. To go on the water but you will need some basic experience in the sport you want to do. For wakeboarding and Stand up paddleboarding this is a two hour lesson and for windsurfing the RYA start windsurfing course. You can then pay as go at a cost of £25 or you can join the Lagoon Beach club which make the club night free. The club night run every Thursday from 6-8pm at Hove Lagoon. Wakeboarding must be pre booked. A couple of images from the first club night of the wakeboarding Share this post Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google + Email Author Harvey Dawkins
