Our “Learn to Sail” courses are the quickest, easiest and best value way to learn how to sail. RYA Sailing Level 1 & 2 course comprises of two, two-day courses, enabling you to progress quickly from beginner to a competent sailor in a controlled, safe and enjoyable environment. On our sailing courses you will learn to sail with crew and on your own, and once completed you will have the basic knowledge to hire or sail your own boat without an instructor onboard. For those wanting to move onto the bigger yachts your level 1 & 2 goes towards the RYA Competent Crew course and just requires one of our Part 2 - 3 day courses.
On our sailing courses we use our our Delphia 24 keelboats: This is a larger, more stable boat with a fixed keel which stops the boat from capsizing or our new RS Ventures which are smaller dinghies but also have keels for great stability. Both types are a great way to learn to sail, with the main difference being in the size of boats and the route you with to go in sailing. We would suggest the Keel boats are an excellent route into going onto the large cruising yachts or go for the Dinghy if you prefer something smaller and playful, with getting wet part of the experience! You can also mix up the courses, trying the Keel boat first and then going onto the Dinghy Level 2 for you second weekend

You will learn how to sail in all directions, including an awareness of launching and recovering. This course is a great introduction into the sailing world and many people then go onto their RYA Sailing Level 2.
This level 2 course aims to consolidate your basic knowledge of sailing, and develop an awareness of safety. By the end of the course you will be capable of sailing a boat without an instructor on board in light winds. On the RYA Sailing Level 2 course your skills will improve as we introduce you to the five essentials of sailing: balance, trim, centreboard, sail setting and course made good.
