Rediscover yourself with our SUP clinic Programme at Hove Lagoon.

Once you have learned the basics of Stand up paddle boarding you might think that there is not much else for you to learn, however you could not be more wrong. At Lagoon Watersports we recognise that Stand up paddle boarding is hugely rewarding to our mental and physical wellbeing as well as being great fun! We therefore have created a range of Instructor led SUP clinics for our members and customers at our Hove Lagoon centre. All our clinics are aimed to boost your skills, have fun, meet like minded people and discover something new.

All you need to know

NEW to SUP – If you are new to SUP we recommend our Learn to SUP Package. Once you have completed our SUP Taster and SUP Improver session as part of the package you will be able to book onto any of the clinics below.

EXPERIENCED SUPer – If you are interested in booking onto one of our Clinics we offer a discount on all clinics (except sup yoga) if you bring your own board. Discount codes will be found on the booking clinic page.

Clinics may be booked on a pay as you go basis or discounted rates and season passes are available. These save regular paddlers money and offer many other benefits.

SUP CLINIC – IMPROVERS

Our sup clinic improvers sessions are of those who wish to work on and improve their skills and gain more confidence.

Throughout the session we work on a range of different stroke techniques and SUP exercises such as Nose 360, tail 360 and paddling backwards etc.

If the conditions allow it the clinic will run on the sea helping to improve your balance.

SUP CLINIC – Social Paddle

Our Social paddle clinic is a great way to meet like minded people and enjoy the paddle boarding experience.  Socialise in a fun and active environment whilst improving your skills and enjoying the fresh air.

Depending on the conditions this will either be on the lagoon or the sea.

SUP CLINIC – YOGA

SUP Yoga comprises of yoga postures on tethered Stand up Paddlebaords, the boards play the part of the yoga mat.

A low impact relaxing tranquil experience where every aspect of the session is designed to leave you feeling refreshed.

SUP yoga strengthens the core, improves your balance, tones muscles, reduces stress and increases body awareness.  As well as this, being on the water can be both tranquil and rejuvenating, helping you to achieve a relaxed and clear mind, whilst enjoying the surroundings of nature.

SUP CLINIC – FITNESS

SUP Fitness clinics at Lagoon Watersports guarantee a new effective and unique workout experience.

SUPing can provide all kinds of health benefits. It’s a great tool for increasing your core stability, strength and flexibility, it will also help with functional aspects such as balance, co-ordination and proprioception – all things that come in useful on a daily basis. Not only does it offer massive fitness benefits, but you will also feel better in yourself as it’s a great de-stress provider.

We advise some basic SUP skills before attending.

SUP CLINIC – SUNRISE PADDLE

THIS SUMMER we will be closely monitoring the forecast and when the perfect conditions arise we will be putting on an early morning sunrise paddle.

Start your day right, feel fresh and motivate yourself.  There’s nothing better than being on the water first thing and taking a moment for yourself before your day starts.

Due to the conditions these clinics will be available to book only a few days before the event, therefore keep an eye out on our social media and we will keep you informed.

SUP CLINIC – RACE TRAINING

Our race Training clinics are aimed at intermediate stand up paddle boarders who are able to turn effectively around a triangular course.  Training sessions will differ each week depending on weather conditions They will include:

  • Interval Training
  • Time Challenges
  • Paddle Techniques
  • Power Paddles
  • Turning

If you have a particular race in mind or a certain distance to reach, we can work with you to devise a race training plan to help you obtain your goals.

SUP Hire

We offer SUP hire on Hove Lagoon for everyone with some basic previous SUPing experience.

We offer hire on the sea, including the option to take SUP’s off to another venue to our regular customers that can demonstrate a level of competence.
